The number 9AS shortstop is an automatic shut-off that saves hours when changing out Maid-O'-Mist vents with 1/8 in male connections. This accessory is a spring-loaded shut-off that stops the flow of water automatically when the vent is removed and re-opens when a new Maid-O'-Mist vent is installed. With a Shortstop in place, it is no longer necessary to drain the system to switch out vents.
