SUPERIOR® 586WBR-6M4FP Ball Valve, 1/4 x 3/8 in Nominal, Female SAE x ODM Connection, 800 lbf/sq-in Pressure
Superior refrigeration introduces its new series of high performance valves designed primarily for access locations on refrigeration systems. The high performance ball valve series was made to replace high-leakage prone access fittings that use valve cores with a refrigerant-saving alternative. The quarter-turn control and 700 lbf/sq-in working pressure make it ideal for most refrigerant applications. It is available in a variety of configurations for access shut-off, charging and suction, control monitoring and more. Industry reports indicate conventional access fittings account for 25% of the total refrigerant loss supermarkets experience annually. Superior high performance access ball valves have a 0.1 oz/yr leak rate, which is unheard of with ball-type valves. Less refrigerant leakage means better refrigeration system performance, less down time, reduced maintenance cost and a real boost to the environment!. Unlike other ball valve designs, Superior Refrigeration begins with a split valve body assembled with a dual O-ring stem seal. The unit is hermetically sealed and 100% Hydrogen leak tested to assure 0.1 oz/year or less refrigerant leakage across the ball seals and to the atmosphere. The result is a high performing ball valve that is 60% smaller than the smallest conventional ball valve, but with no pressure drop.
